Southern Bait Tank Company
Do you
have a good bait tank? Well we want to introduce to you a great bait
tank built with quality, and durability. The Xtreme Outdoorsmen Product
Review Team had the opportunity to field test the tank known as the Bait
Keeper on a striper-fishing trip; we were also able to visit the
manufacturing warehouse of Southern Bait Tank Company to see what detail
went in manufacturing the durable polyethylene tank. We found that
owners and operators Robert Holson and Sam Cole put a lot of time and
effort in the tanks they build before they put them on the market around
three years ago. We found them to be very helpful in explaining how the
tanks work as well as showing us how they were ma de.
The Southern Bait Tanks are double walled with insulation to keep the
water at a cool temperature for a longer period of time in return helps
keep bait alive longer, they come with a drain plug for easy
release of water when done, and have a durable polymer lid that is also
used as a cutting board equipped with a latch, and some models even come
with a light as an option. The tanks range in different sizes from
twenty to fifty-five gallons, (Wow I don’t know anyone except Southern
Bait Tank Co. who has a fifty-five gallon tank!) and they are equipped
with a filtration system that is very helpful in cleaning the trash and
scales in the tank; it is reusable, easy to maintain, and keep clean.
The aerated system is seven hundred gallons per minute with a right
angle cartridge aerator pump pro series that is simple and easy to
change when needed; it provides plenty of oxygen for your bait, and has
a muffler that reduces water pressure to protect the delicate baitfish.
Xtreme Outdoorsmen is pleased with what we found out about the tanks and
would not only recommend them to anyone; we liked it so much we were
excited about becoming a retailer for this product so if you can’t find
The Bait Keeper in your area contact us we will be glad to help.

I was using the Bait Keeper when I caught
this 13.5 lb striper. I was fishing at the lake, and needed to
keep my bait alive and fresh. |
If you have a Southern Bait Tank and have
